Dear Dance Families,
With the recent news of the Coronavirus, we'd like to share how WE, at Step By Step, plan to protect everyone that comes through the studio and how YOU can help.
What Step By Step is doing!
- Sanitizing all hard surfaces including door knobs, counters, bathrooms frequently.
- Each dance room has a medical grade hepa filtration system.
- Teachers will be wiping down all mats and ballet barres with clorox wipes between classes.
- Teachers will wash the floors between classes
- We are eliminating any type of partnering/hand holding exercises between our students.
- Young dancers will be given their own props to use for classes.
- We have temporarily put the playhouse and toys away.
- Teachers are instructed to frequently use hand sanitizer.
- All staff will wear masks at all times.
- Each person coming inside will have a temperature check.
What You can do!
- Do not come inside the building if you or your children are sick with a runny nose, fever, cough, sneezing, body aches, sore throat. If your child shows any of these symptoms during class, she will be sent home.
- Do not come inside the building if you have had contact with a known case of Coronavirus or the flu.
- Do not come inside the building if you currently work in a hospital or the healthcare field. Please call our studio number and we will walk your child outside to you. 203-922-8178
- Wash your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before and after each class.
- Parents are not allowed to wait inside the studio lobby due to capacity restrictions. Please consider taking a walk outside, going to Sunnyside playground or sitting in your car during classes.
- Anyone entering must wear a mask.
What will happen if we are forced to suspend classes?
- You will be notified immediately by email and text message.
- We will be holding virtual classes via the internet. This will allow the teachers at Step By Step to continue the progression of our dance education.
